Summer Walks

Adam and I have been enjoying a lot of evening walks this summer.  When I first moved out into the burbs, I thought everything was going to be cookie-cutter and all the nature-y stuff would be manicured and fake-looking.  But instead we have a wonderful path a few blocks from our house with a little lake (albeit man-made) and beautiful, old trees.  It's so quiet you can hear the bullfrogs and there's usually some sort of wildlife to behold!

Within a mile of our home is a much bigger lake, where a lot of people go boating and fishing.  I love to go for bike rides and runs around that lake.  The other night on one of my longer runs, I couldn't help but stop and admire the sunset over the lake.  It was so beautiful, it just caught my breath.

It's so nice to be able to get out and enjoy the fresh air.

Ahoy, Maties!!

One of my great friends, Kim, recently had her bachelorette party, and the theme was All Aboard!  It was so much fun, and the costumes, tattoos, and nicknames that ensued were so awesome :)

Her mom was so adorable with some of the treats :)

We rented our go-to bus and sailed across the mighty seas all over town!

Every sailor got a sailor name!

And how could we not go to the Poop Deck?!

Don't you love themed parties?  It makes it so much more fun!!

Memorial Park Concert

Prepare yourself for an onslaught of kid photos.  Every year there is a concert in Memorial Park.  This year Corey and I took her kids up there and enjoyed a picnic in the park.  They're so dang cute, I can't help but take a million photos of them!

Marleigh's missing some teeth :)

Tierney took my camera and got some photos

Don't you love picnics?

Tierney decided to have me call a feeling and take her photo

Family photo for fireworks!

I hope you had a wonderful fourth of July!
