I'm sure you've heard Hozier's song "Take Me To Church," which is beautiful but sadly overplayed.  Did you know the rest of his album is just as beautiful? I listen to Cherry Wine at least once a day (ok just kidding, like 3 times a day...)

My Mom is a Rock Star

Did you know my mom is amazing? If you know her, then I'm sure you do.  She's pretty much the most badass woman I know.  She's such an amazing person.  I can't even begin to explain her to you, because words can't do her justice.  I meant to make this post for Mother's Day, but life got in the way (like it always does), so I thought I'd do it today, on her last day of chemotherapy.

A little while ago, I convinced my mom to do a StoryCorps interview with me.  I wanted to talk to her about what it was like going through my dad's diagnosis, treatment and death just to turn around and  get diagnosed herself.  It was so nice to talk to her about it, and to have the recording.  I wanted to share it with anyone who wants to listen.  So here you go.
